Our crews

All crew members on Wallenius vessels have solid training and experience. Our deck officers have completed a 3 to 4-year master mariner programme, and the engineering officers have completed engineering officer training. The rest of the crew usually has some type of maritime upper secondary school training.

Wallenius has equally strict requirements for training and competence regardless of where its recruits come from. A majority of the fleet’s Phillipine sailors come from SCM, Scandinavian Crewing Management, a recruiting and training firm based in Manila, the Phillipines, in which Wallenius has a 12.5% ownership stake.
