At the Stockholm head office you will find Ship Management, the department responsible for supporting the shipboard management of each individual vessel in their daily operational duties. Ship Management is carried out by a number of superintendents who assist the vessels with technical support, purchasing requirements and specialised technical assistance with dry-dockings and repairs. You will also find a Safety Manager, purchasers and our insurance department.
Wallenius' technical department employs shipbuilders, cargo hold specialists, a leading player in hydro dynamics, hull design and control and navigation equipment. Together they are developing the vessels of tomorrow. They also function as consultants to our partners and subsidiaries in the further development of their fleets.
Wallenius Marine's highest priority is to maintain a top modern fleet with the highest possible quality, safety and environmental ambition. And with the best crew there is to find.
A part of the crew is from the Philippines where Wallenius Marine's part-owned subsidiary Swedish Crewing Management is located. During 2008, the line has also recruited Romanian engineer officers to complete the Swedish and Philippine crew.
