New President in Wallenius Lines

Anders Boman appointed new President Wallenius Lines and deputy Chairman Wallenius Marine.

Anders Boman has been appointed new President for Wallenius Lines. He succeeds Lone Fonss Schroeder who left the company on May 1st.

The new steering model for Wallenius Lines requires a new management role but also a more distinct coordination of the two shipping companies in the Group. Therefore, Anders Boman is appointed deputy chairman of the Wallenius Marine Board.

Anders has been working in the shipping business for more than 20 years, both within Wallenius Lines and in Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) as Commercial manager and Regional manager for Asia. He currently holds the position as Head of Region Europe and Deputy CEO in WWL.

We are very happy to have Anders Boman onboard as President for Wallenius Lines. His long and thorough experience as well as excellent cooperation skills in different cultures will strengthen Wallenius Lines. A more distinct co-ordination between the two shipping companies Wallenius Lines and Wallenius Marine need to be developed today, something Anders Boman in this position will be able to execute.

He enters as the new President of Wallenius Lines at the end of the summer, when his successor has been announced.
