Wallenius has chosen to handle our environmental issues with upstream solutions as far as possible. We don't want to solve one problem by creating a new one.

Carbon dioxide – we work with energy streamlining which results in higher performance from less energy
We reduce the temperature in the combustion process and thereby reduce the formation of nitrogen oxides
We keep the sulphur content in the fuel as low as possible
Ballast water – we use a chemical-free ballastwater treatment system onboard
We replace and reduce the amount of biocides in the antifouling that are harmful to the environment
