At sea and on shore

Wallenius was founded in 1934 and has become a leading company in global maritime transport, terminal services and customer-oriented logistics services.

Ships and cargoes
Together with our subsidiaries, and through valued partnerships, we operate some 135 vessels specialising in the transport of cars and other rolling cargo. Ship design and the development of vessel concepts is always in our focus, where experiences are mixed with innovative technical development. Our subsidiaries develop global transport and logistics services which make sure that customers’ cargoes are looked after all the way. This is how we ensure quality at every stage in the chain.

We build new and better
Our ships can carry up to 8,000 vehicles and are therefore the world’s most efficient car carriers. The order book for the group of companies currently comprises some 20 vessels to be delivered through 2012.

Equally important to building new is building better. The Wallenius technical department works daily on further developments of our ship concepts. At the same time, we are working towards tomorrow’s environmentally-friendly solutions for shipping.

World class crews
At Wallenius, we aim to have the world’s best crews, so we provide training and development opportunities at sea and ashore. We also offer the best onboard working environment: most of what can be done ashore can now also be done at sea. These conditions ensure that we have more satisfied and more competent crews, who do an even better job.

Day-to-day ship operations need onshore support. Our offices in Stockholm, Singapore, Bremerhaven, Zeebrugge, China, and Korea provide support for most practical matters concerned with operation and maintenance.
