Sustainable newbuilding
Since the mid-90s, we have supervised more than 70 vessels, lengthened a dozen existing vessels and refurbished and raised cargo decks on several vessels. We adapt a lifecycle perspective from start to end, maximising the use and efficiency of every vessel through its entire lifetime.
In the newbuilding process, we work closely and pro-actively with shipyards and suppliers. All our partners are evaluated on how they work in reducing their environmental footprint and having a life cycle perspective. We look at, for example:
- Their previous environmental work
- If they have a strategy on how to use as small amount of resources as possible
- How they work with garbage management, sorting and managing recyclable products
- The use of energy and chemicals in the productions
On site supervision
Over the years, designing and building high performance vessels have gained us invaluable business connections and developed innumerable trustworthy partnerships worldwide. We collaborate closely with shipyards, brokers and other pivotal affiliates, which our customers will benefit from. We value good relationships with builders and shipyards during newbuilding projects as well as refurbishments and carefully staff our onsite offices with the most experienced supervisors.
As the buyer representative at the shipyard and on-site, we ensure that the vessel newbuilding or modification is built and delivered in accordance with the contract, drawings, specifications and the buyer’s intentions.
